Reforestation – Is Part of the Way of Life

 

 

To encourage the Thai society to be aware of low carbon society, TPI Polene Plc and TPI Polene Power Plc undertake reforestation. This is a continuing effort. In 2023, the Group planted 3,000 saplings of Lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica), Teak (Tectona grandis) and Neem (Azadirachta indica) in a 100 rai (16 hectares) area. All these tree species produce beautiful, scented flowers that can support many insect populations especially bees and can be harvested for lumber.

TPIPP/TPIPL received six awards from the Foundation of Thai Society; two of which are individual honors for the “Organizational Leader of the Year" and the "Creative Thinking & Innovation of the Year” presented to Mr. Prachai Leophairatana, Chairman of TPI Polene Power Plc. The four other awards are organizational honors: Goodness Award, Creative Thinking & Innovation of the Year, Service of the Year, and the Company of the Year.

TPIPP Wins 6 Honorary Awards from Organizer of “One million of Goodness Seedlings Repay Your Land” Project for 2024 Foundation for Thai Society.

Mr. Prachai Leophairatana, Chairman of TPI Polene Power Public Company Limited (TPIPP) received honorary plaques from the “One million of Goodness Seedlings Repay Your Land” Project for 2024 Foundation for Thai Society. The awards were presented by Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk, Privy Councilor, who presided over the ceremony.

TPIPP received a total of 6 awards, divided into 2 individual honors: “Organizational Leader of the Year" and the "Creative Thinking & Innovation of the year” awards, both of which were presented to Mr. Prachai Leophairatana, Chairman of TPI Polene Power Public Company Limited. Mr. Prachai was recognized as a valuable individual who has made significant contributions to the public, demonstrated exemplary vision, and effectively applied knowledge in practice. Additionally, TPIPP received 4 organizational honors: Goodness Award, Creative Thinking & Innovation of the year, Service of the Year, and the Company of the Year. These honors are bestowed upon individuals and organizations that have achieved sustainable success and have made significant contributions to society, serving as exemplary models for the community and the public.

July 12, 2024 - TPI Polene Public Company Limited (“TPIPL”), the manufacturer and distributor of cement, ready-mixed concrete and specialty polymer business, has been awarded as one of the ESG100 top companies with outstanding operation in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects from the assessment of listed Securities in the year 2024 by Thaipat Institute.

Mr. Khantachai Vichakkhana, Chairman of the Board, revealed that Thaipat Institute announced TPIPL’s ranking in ESG100 for the year 2024 by selecting from 920 listed Securities as a company for ESG Values with outstanding performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects in Property and Construction Sector. The Company has been listed in the ESG100 Securities Sector for the 3rd year of Recognition for Outstanding Sustainability (in the year 2022-24). 

The Company is committed to creating sustainable business growth with an emphasis on the development of environmental innovations of TPIPL with green innovation technologies throughout the value chain, such as

 -  Green Mining /Green Quarry

:

modification of drillers, loaders, dump trucks, excavators in mines that use diesel-powered engines to all EV engines trucks.

:

use waste fuel to replace coal for approximately 25% in cement production process.

-  Green Logistics

:

switch to use electric trains to transport cement and ready-mixed concrete.

-  Green Manufacturing

:

produce environmentally friendly construction material products that help reduce global warming.

-    Green Marketing / Management

:

use electric vehicles for sales and marketing operations, as well as executive vehicles instead of combustion vehicles.

-  Green Packing Line / Warehouse

:

use 100% electric forklifts.

All of those as above help to ensure the stability of the organization, the community and the country.

TPI Polene receives citation from the World Business Outlook: LEADING INDUSTRIAL CONGLOMERATE GROUP THAILAND 2024

TPI Polene Public Company Limited has passed ISO14064-1 certification from BSI Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ("BSI"), a British standards institute.

14 June 2024 – TPI Polene Public Company Limited (“TPIPL”), the manufacturer and distributor of cement, ready-mixed concrete, specialty polymer and power plants business, has successfully passed the ISO14064-1 (Carbon Footprint Verification or CFV) certification, which is a standard for principles and requirements at the enterprise level  for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions and reductions, including requirements for design, development, management, reporting and verification of corporate greenhouse gas emissions and reductions from BSI, British Standards Institute.

Mr. Prachai Leophairatana, Chief Executive Officer, revealed that TPIPL has the ISO14064-1 (Carbon Footprint Verification or CFV) from BSI Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ("BSI"), an expertise in carbon footprint verification from the British Standards Institute, which is the highest standard of quality assurance and quality control procedures in the industry.

"The Company is committed to and  aware of the issue of climate change, which is a global issue that has attracted the attention of organizations, governments  and leading organizations around the world and are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to address global warming. Measuring and reporting an organization's carbon footprint is to verify the accuracy of the amount of greenhouse gases that an organization wants to reduce and/or offset or to become a 'carbon neutral' organization, which is important for ensuring and demonstrating social responsibility.
